Westchester County police officer praised for saving infant’s life

Police officer Stephen Samuel responded to a 911 call that a 1-year-old was non-responsive in Mount Kisco Thursday afternoon.

A Westchester County police officer was hailed a hero for his quick action in helping to save an infant’s life.
Police officer Stephen Samuel responded to a 911 call that a 1-year-old was non-responsive in Mount Kisco Thursday afternoon.
Samuel got to the scene and quickly jumped into action by administering the infant CPR.
He continued his efforts until he saw the child take a breath.
The child was taken to the Northern Westchester Hospital Center and has since been released.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — From the shores of South India to patrolling the streets of Philadelphia, Sergeant Blessen Mathew’s journey to becoming the city’s first South Indian sergeant didn’t happen overnight.

He’s hoping his historic ascent in the department’s 150-year history inspires others to chase their own dreams.
